Equipment Management

Equipment Management provides a centralized system for registering, tracking, and maintaining all equipment assets. It covers the full equipment lifecycle from registration through active use, calibration, maintenance, and retirement.

  1. On the left sidebar, select Equipment.
  2. Review the equipment table, which shows each item’s ID, name, location, category, type, status, criticality, calibration schedule, and maintenance schedule.
  3. To narrow results, use the Filters card above the table:
    • Enter text in the Search equipment… field to search by name, ID code, location, or serial number.
    • Select a value from the All Statuses dropdown to filter by equipment status.
    • Select a value from the All Categories dropdown to filter by category.
    • Select a value from the All Types dropdown to filter by equipment type.
    • Select a value from the All Equipment dropdown to show Regulated Only or Non-Regulated Only items.
  1. On the left sidebar, select Equipment.
  2. Select Add Equipment in the top-right corner.
  3. Fill in the equipment details: name, ID, location, category, type, criticality, regulatory classification, serial number, manufacturer, model, and calibration/maintenance schedules.
  4. Select Save to register the equipment.
  1. On the left sidebar, select Equipment.
  2. In the equipment table, select the eye icon on the row you want to inspect.
  3. Review the equipment detail page, which shows the full record including calibration history and maintenance history.

  2. In the equipment table, select the pencil icon on the row you want to update.
  3. Modify the fields you need to change.
  4. Select Save to apply your changes.
ColumnDescription
Equipment IDUnique identifier code.
NameEquipment name with serial number shown below (if available).
LocationPhysical location of the equipment.
CategoryColor-coded badge: Laboratory, Manufacturing, Quality, or Utilities.
TypeColor-coded badge: Analytical, Measuring, Production, or Utility.
StatusColor-coded badge: Active, Inactive, Retired, or Under Maintenance.
CriticalityColor-coded badge: Critical, High, Medium, or Low.
CalibrationCalibration record count and next due date.
MaintenanceMaintenance record count and next due date.
ActionsView and Edit buttons.
StatusMeaning
ActiveEquipment is in service and operational.
InactiveEquipment is not currently in use.
RetiredEquipment has been permanently decommissioned.
Under MaintenanceEquipment is temporarily out of service for maintenance.
LevelMeaning
CriticalFailure would have severe impact on product quality or safety.
HighFailure would significantly impact operations.
MediumFailure would moderately impact operations.
LowFailure would have minimal impact.
