Notifications & Preferences

The EQMS notification system keeps you informed about events across all quality modules. The Notification Center aggregates alerts for documents, deviations, CAPAs, and audits, while the Notification Preferences page lets you fine-tune what you receive and how often.

Access the Notification Center from the bell icon in the application header. It displays all notifications with filtering and pagination.

Each notification shows:

  • Subject and body describing the event
  • Timestamp of when the notification was generated
  • Resource type badge (document, deviation, capa, audit) indicating which module triggered it
  • Read/unread status with a “New” badge for unread items

Unread notifications are highlighted with a blue background to help you spot them quickly.

Use the filter tabs at the top to narrow the list:

  • All — shows every notification
  • Unread — shows only notifications you have not yet read
  • Read — shows only previously read notifications
  • Click a notification to navigate directly to the related resource (document, deviation, CAPA, or audit). The notification is automatically marked as read.
  • Mark All Read — marks every notification as read in a single action.

Notifications are loaded in batches of 50. When you have more than 50 notifications, Previous/Next buttons appear at the bottom of the list.

Navigate to Settings > Notifications to configure how and when you receive notifications.

Preferences are organized by channel:

Each channel can be toggled independently for four categories:

  • Training — training assignments, completions, overdue reminders
  • Quality — document approvals, deviation updates, CAPA actions
  • Audit — audit scheduling, findings, corrective action requests
  • Equipment — calibration due dates, maintenance alerts

When a channel is enabled for a category, you can set the delivery frequency:

After adjusting your preferences, click Save Preferences at the top of the page. A confirmation message appears when changes are saved successfully.
